After moving to Utah, the thing I enjoy most is listening to the lack of noise. In just a few short minutes drive, hike, run or bike, you can move yourself beyond the cacophony of modern life into a serene and soul regenerating solitude. Despite the relative quiet, there is more to hear if you try. The soft babbling of the many brooks and springs, squeaks and squawks of local fauna, soft rustling of flora and trees gently swaying in the breeze. Enjoying and being alone in nature is core to the discovery of self free from the intrusion of the world on your thoughts. Take some time to be alone without music, without constant chatter, without texting, without things we deem essential. Allow yourself to be alone and only then do you find yourself.
